HOW IT’S PERFORMED:

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. Collagen makes up about 20% of the body's mass and about 30% of all proteins found in the human body. Most importantly, collagen is the substance that holds the body’s tissues together. It is found in the bones, muscles, skin and tendons, where it forms vital strength and structure.
Collagen is a key component of skin, bones and connective tissue within the body, providing structural support, strength and a degree of elasticity (in combination with elastin). In particular, collagen makes up the extracellular matrix - an intricate network of macromolecules that determine the physical properties of body tissue. A mixture of small peptides, break down into much smaller fragments, able to penetrate the skin's surface. Firm the skin and reduce the effects of aging as the collagen is absorbed by the skin. In the middle layer of the skin (the dermis) collagen forms a fibrous network, upon which new cells grow. Collagen is also a key component in the skin’s replacement and restoration of dead skin cells. The body’s production of collagen naturally declines with age, thereby reducing the structural integrity of the skin and leading to sagging skin and the formation of lines and wrinkles.
